Features include full control over text and images, control of multi-tiered membership accounts, a news archive, event calendar and online booking and payment facilities, with the option to host banner advertising for additional revenue.

The Farmers Friend have been trading in Exeter for over 125 years. As traditional an outfitter as you could hope to
find it was a bold decision for them to consider setting up an online outlet.
Understandably wanting reassurance as to the viability of an e-store for their products this is a simple, straight forward and unfussy site, displaying only a handful of items from their extensive product range.
Planned as the first stage of site development, with expansion to come when justified, this is a good example of how easy shopping online (and running and online shop!) can be.

By use of 'expanding bullet points' within the main body of the site we were able to place all necessary information on the appropriate pages in a compact manner. This enhances the usability of the site while making a greater level of information available to those (including Search Engines) that require it.

The Cottonian Collection at Plymouth City Museum

The Cottonian Collection is an outstanding art collection assembled by Charles Rogers FRS FSA (1711-1784). It comprises oil paintings, Old Master and English drawings and watercolours, sculpture, furniture and ceramics, a library, Reynolds

Whilst the Collection is displayed in Plymouth's City Museum, the website allows for public viewing of artefacts without the need for a visit.
Maintained by the Museum's Keeper of Art, the Cottonian Collection website also provides teaching and learning resources for school projects based on exhibits.
